“Our HOA sent a notice about the front lawn. The visit log showed what went down and when, and we sent it to the board. The lawn filled in over the summer.”

Your written quote lists your lot size, your price per visit and your visit dates. These programs are scheduled visits, not insurance and not a promise of results: shade, soil, weather and watering decide how a lawn does. Cancel by phone or email before your next visit; you pay only for visits already made, with no cancellation fee. In the summer rainy season, fertilizer visits follow the local rule.
The visit calendar
A year of visits, season by season
This is a typical year for a St. Augustine lawn in Northeast Florida. Weather and local rules move the dates, so the visit dates in your quote are the ones that count.
January to March
The soil warms and weeds start. Pre-emergent goes down first, then the first mows of the year.
Pre-emergent weed control, every program
Soil test and pH plan, Pro and Elite
Sprinkler check, Pro and Elite
April and May
Peak spring growth. Fertilizer, broadleaf weed control and the first scouting for insects.
Fertilizer round, every program
Broadleaf weed control
Chinch bug scouting, Pro and Elite
June to September
The rainy season. Fertilizer follows your city's summer rule, so most visits become weed, insect and disease work.
Visits without nitrogen where the local rule asks for it
Insect treatment, Pro and Elite
Brown patch and large patch watch, Elite
October to December
The lawn slows down. A last feeding, a winter weed plan and a second sprinkler check for Elite.
Fall fertilizer round, every program
Winter weed control
Second sprinkler check, Elite
Summer rain
Summer rain changes what we apply
Heavy summer rain can wash fertilizer into storm drains and, from there, into the St. Johns River. Many Northeast Florida cities and counties limit nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer in those months.
The dates and the rules differ by city and change over time. We follow the one in force where your lawn is, and your quote says which one that is.
In the rainy months
In the restricted months, visits focus on weeds, insects and disease

What customers say about the visits
“Magaly explained the Pro program in Spanish and wrote the quote in both languages. I knew which visits were fertilizer and which were weed control.”
“I moved from Essential to Pro after the chinch bug check. One phone call, and the next visit was already on the calendar.”

Questions
Questions before you sign up
More answers are on the questions page.
What does a program cost?
It depends on your lot size and the tier. The plans page shows what each program includes. Your written quote lists your lot size, your visit dates and your price per visit, so you can compare before you agree to anything.
What if it rains, or a freeze comes?
A visit washed out by rain moves to the next dry day, and your calendar updates. In the summer rainy season, fertilizer follows the rule where you live. After a hard freeze we hold fertilizer until the lawn shows new growth.
What about kids and pets after a visit?
Follow the product label's re-entry time. Every visit log lists the product type and its re-entry time, and we tell you when to keep children and pets off the lawn.
Which grass do I have?
Most Jacksonville lawns are St. Augustine, with some Bermuda, zoysia and centipede. St. Augustine has wide, flat blades and thick runners; Bermuda has finer blades. We confirm the grass at the first visit and write it in your log.
My HOA sent a notice. Can you help?
We keep a visit log with the date, the product type and what we saw, and you can send it to your board. We cannot promise how a board will answer, and we do not write the reply for you.
Do you speak Spanish?
Part of our team does: Magaly Rios in customer care and Dante Salazar, one of our route leads. Every page on this site has a Spanish version; use the language link in the header.
